This Privacy Policy applies to K.G GARNER & N.L GARNER and all its related retail branches and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “the Group”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

  • Transaction Data including details about payments to you from us and from you to us and other details of products and services you have purchased from us or we have purchased from you.

For Queensland (QLD) Transactions:

We operate in accordance with the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 2003 (QLD) and Regulation 2004 (QLD).

  • Police Reporting: We are required to furnish information regarding transactions and identity to the QLD Police Service.
  • Anonymity: Anonymous transactions are not permitted under QLD pawnbroking law.

  • In-Store Surveillance: Through CCTV systems operating for security and crime prevention.

We store your personal information in Australia using secure servers, encryption, and restricted physical access. While we strive to protect your data, transmission over the internet is at your own risk. Records are retained for the minimum periods required by the relevant State Pawnbroking Acts.

Your data may be accessible by our partners in other countries to enable them to provide you the services you require from us. These locations currently are: the Philippines, the United States of America

CCTV Surveillance

CCTV operates in all stores for safety and crime prevention. Footage is stored securely and may be provided to Law Enforcement (QLD Police) as required by law or to assist in investigations.

Social Media & Photography

Social Media & Promotional Content We love engaging with our community! From time to time, we may take photographs or videos within our physical store locations for use on our website, social media platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram), and marketing materials.

  • Consent: By being present in our store during events or general trading, we may seek your verbal consent before taking a “staged” or “prominent” photo/video of you specifically for promotional use.

  • Opting Out: If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify our staff immediately upon entering the store or at the time the footage is being taken.

Your Rights And Controlling Your Personal Information

Right to Withdraw Media Consent: If you have previously appeared in a photo or video posted on our social media channels and would like it removed, you have the right to request its deletion. Please contact us at maryboroughloans@gmail.com with a description of the post. We will take reasonable steps to remove the content from our controlled platforms (website and social media) as soon as practicable.

Cookies And Web Data

We may use cookies on our website from time to time. Cookies are text files placed in your computer’s browser to store your preferences.
